How Opportunity Score works

Opportunity Score combines three signals into a single 0–100 number:

  • Popularity — estimated search demand for the term (Apple Search Ads-style scale).
  • Difficulty — how hard the term is to rank for, from the strength of apps already ranking.
  • Relevance — how well your listing’s copy matches the term today.

High demand + low difficulty + a gap between your rank and where you could be = a high score. It’s a way to sort openings, not a guarantee.

Popularity and difficulty are estimates until Apple Search Ads credentials are connected — they’re labelled as such throughout the app.
